University of Nebraska, Lincoln

Lincoln, Nebraska is home to one of the largest universities in the state: The University of Nebraska, Lincoln - or as it's most commonly referred to as, Nebraska.

There's not a whole lot in Lincoln, let alone the entire state of Nebraska. Now, I'm not trying to offend any natives of the state, but there simply isn't a lot going on.

It's farming country there. You can drive for miles on end and see nothing but crops.

Once you hit Lincoln, though, that changes.

Lincoln is definitely a college town. There's plenty to keep college-age students entertained. And by that I mean there are dozens of bars. Essentially on every corner.

Seriously.

I've never seen so many bars in one town. The bars do have excellent food. I will say that.

I went there on a work trip and took a tour of the campus. It's a beautiful campus and you can tell that millions of dollars go into the maintenance of its facilities.

I also spent a lot of time in the basketball arena, where the NCAA Tournament happened to be taking place.

I was able to take in a couple of games and really enjoy the full Nebraska experience.

It was a good time, although I'm not anxious to head there again anytime soon. Perhaps for a football game. I hear the game day atmosphere is incredible in Nebraska.
