Buenos Aires, Argentina

I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 22 months. So, I guess you could say that I know a thing or two about the city.

It's so much different from the rest of South America. It has been dubbed as the Paris of South America. Why, might you ask?

Because of my expertise in Europe, I can safely say that Buenos Aires is just like another European city. It has all sorts of monuments and other things to look at, but the culture is the most fascinating aspect of the city.

It's known as the birthplace of the tango - as seen in the above picture. It was taken in the most touristy section of the town. Where every vender as souvenirs and knows that Americans flock there to spend money.

The culture is in full display, here especially.

The Spanish is not Spanish at all. It's called Castellano. And don't you tell an Argentine different.

If you manage to venture out of the main city into more suburban areas, you'll discover what the most typical ares of Argentina are like. I'll save a post on each of those areas for later, but can imagine the diversity that is prevalent throughout these areas.

I plan on visiting here again very soon (en route to Antartica). So, expect to see some updated pictures and stories on my adventures. But for now, I'll just leave you with this short taste of what Buenos Aires, Argentina is like. An absolute marvel.
